What is Adaptive Skiing? The BOEC is known for
personalized service and customized skiing and riding

We view skiing and snowboarding as sports that can be
enjoyed by all! The Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center
provides people with disabilities and/or special needs the

program offers one-on-one instruction at Breckenridge Ski
Resort, using the latest in adaptive techniques and
equipment. Custom programs at Keystone Resort and Copper
Mountain Resort also are available.
We maintain an up-to-date inventory of equipment to fit
your needs. Alpine, cross-country skiing and snowboarding
instruction is available. We offer exciting opportunities
for all skier levels, from first-time beginners to experts.
Lessons are available to all skiers and snowboarders over 4

Handcycling
Program
New
this year, the BOEC has added handcycling to its many
program offerings. The scenic mountains of Summit County are
a perfect venue for cycling and we want everyone to be a
part of it!
Here's how it works:
We will be running daily handcycling instruction and
guided rides throughout Summit County. Rides will be
available Thursday - Saturday from June 30 - August 21 & for
the Fall colors from September 15 - October 9. Rides include
downhill trips from the top of Vail Pass, Copper to Frisco,
as well as around Lake Dillon, and Breckenridge to Frisco.
Depending on interest and timing, individuals can choose
from a variety of rides that best suit their needs.
Costs (includes cycles, fittings, safety equipment,
instruction & assistance as needed):
Half Day: $70
Full Day: $120 - lunch included
Group discounts and financial assistance are available
upon request. Reservations are required.
Why come to the BOEC to cycle?
As leaders in adaptive sports, BOEC provides the high
level of instruction and the personal service you've come to
rely on.
Breckenridge and Summit County have some of the most
scenic and accessible bike paths throughout Colorado.
We use the mountains to our advantage. As needed, we can
tailor your ride to be mostly downhill with vehicle support.
Family and friends are always welcome.
If you thought the winters were beautiful, wait till you
see the summers!
Programs at the
BOEC
At the BOEC, wilderness is both the classroom and the
teacher. We believe that one can learn infinite amounts
about self and interrelationship with the earth simply by
being in a wilderness setting and working within a commPropertyy
toward personal growth. Away from the noise and cluttered
chaos of the modern world, we provide challenging,
human-powered experiences in beautiful natural settings. You
won't find any jet skis or snowmobiles at the BOEC. Instead
you will find sea kayaks, adaptive skis, canoes, a climbing
wall, a high ropes course, rafts, high and low initiatives
and a creative, dedicated staff to help you achieve your
personal goals.
We offer wilderness Programs and Teambuilding Programs
