Product Overview 

Provides valuable vacation protection for sudden and unexpected events that occur before and during a vacation and that could cause a customer to lose their vacation and vacation investment.  The policy covers:

·         Prepaid lodging and other costs associated with the Vacation Plan. An added benefit is coverage for sports-related charges, including lift tickets, ski lesson, rental equipment and golf tee-times whether booked through you or not.

·         Coverage is for a host of covered reasons including: injury or serious illness affecting the guest, traveling companion or their extended family*.

·         Unfortunate incidents including loss of job, mandatory court-related appearances, natural disasters affecting their home are also covered.

·         Unexpected travel delays and baggage coverage.

·         Coverage for the guests’ sporting equipment and even rental reimbursement if they need to rent equipment should theirs get stolen or lost/damaged or delayed by an airline.

·         Emergency medical transportation needs.

10-day satisfaction guarantee during which a guest can receive a full refund of the insurance premium, provided they have not already departed on the trip or filed a claim.

What does the Vacation Sporting Protection Plan cover?

• Trip Cancellation: In the event you need to cancel your vacation due to an accident, injury or illness (or death), this plan covers your out-of-pocket costs for prepaid, non-refundable expenses and deposits.*
• Trip Interruption: In the event you need to interrupt your travel for medical reasons, or a host of other unforeseen events, this plan covers the lost part of your vacation costs as well as providing benefits to get you home.*
• Sports Equipment Coverage: Provides coverage for specialist sporting equipment due to loss or damage by a common carrier or theft of equipment during the trip.*
• Sports Equipment Rental Benefit: Provides reimbursement of rental costs incurred if sporting equipment is stolen or is lost, damaged or delayed by a common carrier for at least 12 hours.*
• Sports Traveler Benefit: In the event your vacation is cancelled or interrupted due to a covered reason, coverage is provided for the costs of non-refundable sports related deposits and payments that were arranged separately from your reservation (such as prepaid lift tickets, greens fees, equipment rentals and lessons).*
• Travel Delay: Provides coverage on a one time basis for reasonable additional accommodations and traveling expenses incurred* due to a covered delay of at least six hours.
• Baggage Coverage: Provides benefits for loss, damage or theft of your baggage and personal effects*.
• Baggage Delay: Provides reimbursement for the reasonable additional purchase of essential items if your luggage doesn’t arrive when you do and the bags are not located for at least 24 hours.*
• Vehicle Return: Provides transportation for automobile back to primary residence should the guest become ill/injured, preventing their return home.*
• Roadside Assistance: 24-Hour Emergency Towing, Assistance with flat tires, gas, battery jumpstart, winching.*
• Emergency Medical Transportation: In the event of injury or illness, the coverage will pay for emergency medical transportation services*, which are required to move you to the nearest appropriate healthcare facility, as well as pay up to $5,000 toward your return trip home.
• 24-hour Travel Assistance: Customer Service is always available 24/7. They provide travel and emergency assistance for common travel incidents – from medical emergencies to legal referrals and travel planning.

How much does the insurance cost?

The insurance is 6.5 % of your total non-refundable vacation trip cost. 

Can I decide later?

Who provides the insurance?

Insurance benefits are underwritten by BCS Insurance Company on Master Policy Form No. 52.201 or 52.401 and administered by World Access Service Corp.
